Creates an area model with tracks in parallel.

Creates a level surface for yard/station design.

Design should be done on this level surface to eliminate potential problems with end condition overlaps.

Workflow

From the Display rail placement tools, select Place Yard to start the place yard tool.

1. Select yard template. Use Rail > Multi Track > Corridor Yard.
2. Place track. Use Rail > Multi Track > Track.
3. Datapoint to select start distance.
4. Datapoint to select end distance.
5. Set the speed. Use a design speed of 20-30 km. Otherwise the track tool creates cant sections that will not work with turnouts or curve radiuses will be too big to fit into geometry.
6. Select the vertical profile. Select best fit or by start and end.
